Dev predicts 2027's local inference boom: integrated hardware + OS + inference stack, not just GPUs
vincent_koc · x · 2026-11-07
Developer Vincent Koc endorses a prediction that companies offering integrated local-inference solutions will boom in the next few years — not another GPU in a box, but plug-and-play systems combining hardware, an OS, and an inference stack that makes open models easy to run. Ease of use, he argues, is still underrated.
He extends this to engineering culture: "full stack" now means hardware + software + experience, and by 2027 the hardware-vs-software divide will collapse into a single integrated play.
