Claude Code bug burns Ultra user's weekly quota in 2 hours; AI support bot denies reset

Ultra-plan user @AlexVainshtein reports his entire weekly quota was wiped in 2 hours: logs showed 2 background subagents stuck in an infinite read loop — 8,308 file reads (50+ per image), 2,399 model requests, and 217M tokens written to cache as image reads repeatedly invalidated the prompt cache, matching open GitHub issues #106556 and #90716.
He submitted a full report with timestamps, machine specs and matching issues, but after days of silence his usage-reset request was instantly denied by an AI support bot with no human review.
He criticizes paying top dollar for AI while an AI bug locks him out and support AI dismisses him, calling for human review when platform-side defects break paid access. Anthropic's Lydia Hallie has since confirmed the repro and said a fix is coming.
