Claude Code runaway subagents wiped an Ultra plan's weekly quota in 2 hours

User @AlexVainshtein reports that after paying for Anthropic's top-tier Ultra plan, his entire weekly quota was consumed in 2 hours. Logs revealed a known Claude Code bug: two background subagents stuck in an infinite read loop, burning through his allowance.
When he requested a quota reset, an AI support agent auto-rejected it, and human support went silent. @lydiahallie responded, offering to look into it and asking for the support ticket reference via DM.
