Gnomancer: an open-source CLI and MCP server to explore your raw DNA data with AI agents
Ok_Mirror_832 · reddit · 2026-11-07
Gnomancer is a new open-source CLI tool and MCP server that takes raw DNA exports from 23andMe, Ancestry, MyHeritage, FTDNA or LivingDNA (or a VCF) and generates a local HTML report with haplogroups, a marker panel, ClinVar variants and PharmCAT pharmacogenomics.
Privacy-conscious design: agents receive derived results, never the raw file, and health tables are only fetched on request. With a cloud model results go to the provider; a local model keeps everything offline. Written in Python, MIT licensed, with the author seeking feedback from genetics experts.
