Census swaps AI for SI in survey to comply with executive order, 'don't know' answers jump

To comply with an executive order, the US Census Bureau replaced "AI" with "SI" on its BTOS survey form. Economist ngoldschlag notes one bi-week of data isn't conclusive, but "Don't know" responses appear to have jumped, coming out of former "No" answers, with the parenthetical "formerly" likely softening the effect. His point: even if impacts are minimal, survey wording should maximize statistical precision and match what respondents understand, not bend to compliance.
