Codex to perform live semi-autonomous DJ set via MCP in world premiere
Yamapama · x · 2026-11-07
A developer is preparing a "world premiere": OpenAI's Codex will perform a live, semi-autonomous DJ/producer set on a Dutch Caribbean island. Screenshots show Codex's own performance plan: via MCP it will control a custom synth (Yama MC-X) alongside a human on keys, with details like freezing a ringing chord into a pad, layering 808 bass and 909 fills, and tempo locked to Reason — the agent decides what to play while the instrument handles when.
