Claude's multi-agent pipeline built an RTS game intro video, rendered in ~3 hours on rented 8xA40
Liqhthouse · reddit · 2026-11-07
A solo developer had Claude create an intro video for their RTS civilization game — "many times hilarious, many times amazing," and only the 3rd render after feedback rounds.
Key details:
- Claude generated unit, structure, and projectile VFX models, plus all lighting and environment in Blender build format
- SFX came from Pixabay downloads plus ElevenLabs v3 for missing sounds
- Local RTX 3060 rendering was too slow, so they rented 8xA40 GPUs on a cloud service: Claude packaged everything into a zip with a terminal command; build and render took 2.5–3 hours
- Writing the scene took 1 hour after units existed; Claude ran multiple parallel agents — one writing unit-stat JSON, one modeling a destroyer, etc.
The author notes learning 3D software and modeling a unit solo could take over a year; Claude did it in 10–20 minutes. Next steps: proper textures, camera pathing fixes.
