DoorDash is acquiring Instacart for roughly $17B. Hustle Fund co-founder Elizabeth Yin shares her miss: at her previous firm she recommended passing on Instacart at a $10M post-money valuation, citing a high price and capital-intensive business — clearly the wrong call in hindsight. She adds that a $1K angel check would have been worth about $250K.
