Amazon's Alexa for Shopping now takes grocery orders and product photos over text messages
gaganghotra_ · x · 2026-11-06
Amazon is adding texting to Alexa for Shopping: users can text a shopping description or a photo, get recommendations back, and have Alexa place the order. The contact appears as "Amazon Alexa" and supports weekly groceries, gift ideas, photo-based product search, preference memory, and deal tracking. Rolling out to a small group of US customers.
