Archon Robotics debuts Anchor 1, a humanoid whole-body controller cutting tracking error 30-80%
ChongZzZhang · x · 2026-11-06
Archon Robotics released Anchor 1, its first humanoid controller for precise and stable whole-body manipulation, aiming at Whole-Body Intelligence.
Key technical pieces:
- Sparse targets for flexible whole-body coordination
- Distribution shaping for stable behavior
- Decoupled feedback for precise control and flexible interfaces
- A systematic benchmark covering precision, stability, and reachability
Reported results: 30–80% reduction in tracking error, more efficient real-world teleoperation data collection, and higher success rates on autonomous manipulation. Demos include continuous end-effector trajectory tracing on the real robot and stair climbing.
Model weights, deployment code, and teleoperation tools are targeted for release by end of 2026; early access is open.
