IIT Goa professor redesigns exam: students write their own questions, then answer them
kingslyj · x · 2026-11-06
An IIT Goa professor abandoned the usual anti-AI-cheating approach for an Analog Circuits final: students must prepare 60 marks worth of their own questions from the semester's lecture materials — 30 marks for question design, 40 for answering them, with score penalties for similarity. The take: answers are no longer scarce, and knowing which questions are worth solving is the real engineering skill AI can't replace.
