Roxanne Varza, a Sequoia scout from 2020-2025 (and previously Atomico's scout since 2018), confirmed this week that Sequoia is cutting its scout program — one largely inspired by Sequoia's own model.
Robert Scoble quoted the news claiming that AI networking agent Boardy is "a better scout than any human," suggesting AI agents may be displacing the human scout model in venture sourcing.
