CodeChart: open-source skill makes any coding agent start summaries with a change map
alexmazawd · reddit · 2026-11-06
Developer freeleex released CodeChart, a small open-source npm package + skill installable in any coding agent, addressing a common agentic-development pain: change summaries are long walls of text naming files and classes, but you can't see what the agent actually did.
- Once installed, the agent starts each summary with a 'map' drawn in the console showing which files and classes changed and how they connect.
- For complex changes that don't fit the terminal, a clickable button opens a full local HTML page with an interactive node map for exploring details and interconnections.
- Built over a weekend, open-source on GitHub, feedback welcome.
