AEO tip: LinkedIn influencer posts may shape LLM brand recommendations better than Reddit
5le · x · 2026-11-06
The author argues that while AEO visibility from Reddit comments is tempting, LinkedIn posts are a more lasting shortcut: working with LinkedIn influencers builds the kind of brand footprint that LLMs pick up when making recommendations, since even paid posts generate real engagement and organic word of mouth.
His client workflow uses Semrush's LinkedIn analysis tool to:
- filter the most impactful LinkedIn voices by industry into an outreach shortlist;
- spot post topics and themes that are trending up;
- track which companies, tools, or AI topics his own posts influence.
The attached screenshot shows the tool's dashboard: 80 opportunities, 1,512 LinkedIn comments, a brands-by-mentions table (Microsoft, Salesforce, Sony, HubSpot), and an important-authors list with follower counts. Bottom line: as brands pivot away from Reddit, LinkedIn is where AEO-driven brand building should start.
