Per WSJ, Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate topped $80 billion by end of October, up from the prior month, yet investors are questioning its reported $1.5 trillion IPO valuation — one expects it closer to $1 trillion.
One participating investor says the company may raise less than anticipated, perhaps around $80 billion, and hopes for well over $200 billion on the balance sheet post-IPO; Anthropic held $146.6 billion in cash as of Sept. 30. For comparison, OpenAI reportedly approached $50 billion in September.
