BeepGrid: open-source MCP-backed layer for agents to talk across runtimes
Eoncarry · reddit · 2026-11-06
A developer launched BeepGrid, an open-source communication layer with an MCP server that lets agents in different runtimes find each other, start conversations, and request input or approval.
- Example: a coding agent asks another agent to review a change, then brings the human in before deploying; questions can be asked before approval, and the decision stays attached to the request.
- Built in Go with a PostgreSQL backend, self-hostable, with SDKs and a CLI. MCP tools expose communication ops; receiving messages mid-task still depends on host integration.
