Openbar: a notch-resident tracker so parallel coding agents never sit waiting on you
Significant-Sea-7238 · reddit · 2026-11-06
A Redditor shares a lesson from running Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode in parallel: most dead time isn't the model, it's agents stuck on permission prompts in terminals you're not watching. The fix is one always-visible session list — hence Openbar, a free open-source tool living in the Mac notch (top of screen on Windows). Sessions needing you jump to the top, finished ones sink, and you can approve edits with ⌘Y after reviewing the diff. Even without the app: give parallel agents a waiting signal you'll actually notice — a sound or notification cuts a lot of idle time.
