Shadaj Lohia presents Hydro: chasing zero-cost correctness beyond C++, Zig and Go
ShadajL · x · 2026-11-06
Shadaj Lohia (@ShadajL) gave a talk on Hydro, his Rust-based distributed systems framework. A slide on "zero-cost correctness" maps languages on two axes: C/C++/Zig sit at bare-metal but unsafe, while Go/Java/Python are memory-safe via runtime enforcement at the cost of runtime overhead. Hydro aims for compile-time correctness guarantees without giving up performance. Video linked in the original post.
