Microdock v2 lets robot sit while docked, cutting servo power to zero
natesiggard · x · 2026-11-06
Following a suggestion from @matthlapeyre, the maker released Microdock v2: the robot now sits while docked, allowing all servos to be switched off completely to cut idle power consumption.
A neat example of open-source robotics iteration — solving a power problem through mechanical pose design rather than hardware changes.
