Solv3R reconstructs 128-photo scenes with under 1.5GB of VRAM
taiyasaki · x · 2026-11-06
Solv3R demonstrates a new capability: reconstructing full scenes by solving just 8 views at a time, requiring under 1.5GB of VRAM for 128 photos — essentially block coordinate descent.
taiyasaki adds that large scenes can be handled via SfM by randomly processing subsets of 8 views, drastically lowering the VRAM barrier for large-scale 3D reconstruction.
