Thinky Machines' Inkling 2 Small ranks 4th overall and 1st among open-weights models on DesignArena (Elo 1376), priced at $0.30/$1.00 per 1M input/output tokens — 15x cheaper on output than Kimi K3. Weights are coming soon.
Shared traces highlight its vision-in-the-loop self-verification: the model builds 3D scenes in Blender, renders them, inspects the output, spots mistakes and iterates until correct (Pen & Ink origami Inkling Island demo).
