Pai v1.0: Open-Source App Merges Painting and AI Generation in One Workspace

Reddit user g45t345rt released Pai v1.0.0, an open-source app combining traditional painting tools and AI image generation in a single workspace, covering most features found in popular painting apps and AI generation tools.
Highlights include a project save system (.pai files preserve per-layer generation settings plus models, LoRAs and adapters used) and a straightforward installer where the bootstrap auto-configures based on your hardware. Pai is fully standalone without ComfyUI, but can scan your ComfyUI models folder and reuse existing models immediately. Multiple canvases keep layers and references together in one place.
A Discord server is up for feedback; a plugin system is on the todo list, and PRs are welcome.
