Gemini in Volvo cars flunks basic tests: refuses windows, offers 'friendship warmth'
giffmana · x · 2026-11-06
Google's giffmana tested Gemini in a new Volvo with hilarious results: it refused to open the passenger window "for safety," told him to install the YouTube app to enable seat massage (the car doesn't even have it), and answered "can you make it warmer" with "I always get warmth from our friendship." The same queries worked fine on an XPeng weeks earlier; he blames the Google porting team's setup, not the underlying model.
