LangChain argues async subagents are this year's biggest chat UX upgrade for agents

LangChain shares Sydney Runkle's article "Agents Are Going Async," arguing async subagents may be the biggest chat UX improvement of the year. In sync mode, the main agent stalls waiting for the subagent and can't answer follow-ups; with startasynctask, the agent stays free to reply while the subagent runs in the background and reports back when done — like a chief of staff who keeps projects moving instead of vanishing.
