A Reddit user pulled details from METR's assessment charts: Anthropic's unreleased Model 4 (trained September–October 2026) scored 178.6 on the AECI capability index — a jump nearly 90% as large as the entire improvement from Opus 4.6 to Mythos 5. The chart also shows internal snapshots (Mythos 5, Model 2/3 Early) and that a permanent-acceleration fit (held-out error 1.9 AECI) predicts later models better than Anthropic's one-time-jump hypothesis (3.9).
