Goldman Sachs has pulled Claude Code and GitHub Copilot from its traders and bankers, restricting the AI coding tools to engineers only — a playbook the poster expects more companies to copy.
Meanwhile, the US stock market saw its biggest single-day market cap wipeout in history at roughly $2.8 trillion, surpassing the previous record of $2.69 trillion during the Covid crash, with AI stocks hit hardest (heat map shows NVDA -7.05%, AMD -13.85%, MU -12.93%, SPCX -8.64%, AVGO -7.30%).
