Intent: free open-source agent coordination app replacing chat threads with workspaces
Wattenberger · x · 2026-11-06
Developer Wattenberger shares Intent, his daily driver for over a year: an agent coordination tool built around the belief that developers should work in spaces, not chat threads. It is free and open source with bring-your-own agents; runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, any remote, plus sleek mobile apps; and acts as a superset of native agent capabilities by giving them new primitives, aimed at coordinating many agents in parallel. The team makes nothing from users — they keep building it because it's their favorite way to code.
