OpenAI poaches Claude Code product head and Anthropic growth lead in one-week hiring spree

Allie Miller recaps OpenAI's aggressive hiring over the past week:
- Austin Lau, formerly the "one-man growth team" at Anthropic
- Cat Wu, head of product for Claude Code and one of Anthropic's most prominent spokespeople
- Jill Hazelbaker, former Uber President and reportedly the only candidate in OpenAI's exec search for Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
She notes OpenAI's talent and product growth momentum are strong, but wants to see product development momentum next — adding she still prefers Opus 5.5.
