Tencent releases Hy4 with vision and computer use, claims second place among Chinese AI models

Tencent unveiled Hy4, its first multimodal model that understands images and can operate software autonomously. It scores 35 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, which Tencent claims is second among Chinese models behind Kimi K3.1 Pro — though Tencent admits it still trails top commercial models on hard math and complex image analysis.
