Open-source agent skill turns 90-min raw screen recordings into upload-ready videos
Promptmethus · x · 2026-11-06
Developer 0xSero released video-edit, an open-source (MIT) agent skill + script kit that automatically turns raw OBS/screen recordings into tight, upload-ready videos.
- Target workflow: 45–90 min macOS screen recording (screen + webcam) → a 20–30 min YouTube upload
- Division of labor: surgical editing decisions (what to cut, boring tangents, opening placement) are made by an agent reading the transcript; scripts turn those decisions into a reproducible render with hard verification gates
- Features: transcript-driven cuts, dead-air and static-screen removal (frame-difference analysis), redaction of on-screen leaks like hostnames and API keys, privacy cuts, mastered audio track, verified render
- Everything runs locally
