Reddit user shares multi-agent coding workflow: handover quizzes plus a card-based logbook
Kai_ThoughtArchitect · reddit · 2026-11-06
The author runs "Topping Out": Claude plans each ticket without writing code, a cheaper model builds it, and a third-party model reviews. It works tickets overnight and nothing merges without human approval.
Key practices:
- Deliberately short sessions: every job starts fresh; all durable knowledge lives in files
- Handover plus quiz: each job writes a handover (where it stopped, what's owed) and a quiz; the next session must answer cold before touching anything — born from a 900-line handover nobody reads
- Logbook cards: one lesson per card (insight/method/build) with evidence; cards matching the next job's area auto-load at start
- Housekeeping: dedupe passes, archive past 250 cards, and repeated lessons get promoted to NEVER/ALWAYS rules (human-approved); a card never overrides a rule
Bottom line: the model remembers nothing; the repo does.
