Mistral launches Le Chonk model and Studio managed agents, workflows and apps
MistralAI · x · 2026-11-05
Mistral announced a combined model-plus-platform release:
- Le Chonk (Mistral Large 4): a new flagship open model focused on coding, defensive cybersecurity, and reasoning over complex documents.
- Mistral Studio: new managed agents (with skills, sandboxes, subagents and hooks), enterprise apps with built-in hosting/auth/access controls, and workflows combining fixed rules, agent reasoning and human approvals — generated via Vibe. Studio also gains enterprise connections, observability and evals.
Internally, Mistral says an agent that investigates incidents saves hundreds of hours a month, and a feedback-routing workflow saves 35 hours a week. Apps and Managed Agents are in public preview, Workflows is GA, with private cloud and on-prem availability by end of November.
