Two prompts turn Claude into a daily AI morning brief from email and calendar

A Reddit tutorial (lesson 3 of an "AI chief of staff" series) shows how to build a one-page morning brief with the Claude desktop app.
Setup: connect Gmail/Google Calendar (or Outlook) plus your todo app, add a working folder, and paste a setup prompt. Claude verifies access, asks your 90-day goals, timezone and todo location, saves them to About-Me.md, and writes the workflow to Workflows/Daily-Brief.md.
Brief structure: First move, Today's meetings, Goals status, up to 5 emails waiting on you, and emails you sent that still need answers — readable on a phone.
Scheduling: a second self-contained prompt goes into Claude's Scheduled tasks, running weekdays at 8:00 AM in the cloud, arriving even with your laptop closed.
Safety rails baked into the prompts: never send, delete or archive email, never change the calendar; it drafts up to 2 replies into Drafts for you to send yourself.
Corrections: tell it what's wrong in the same chat and it fixes the brief plus saves the rule. Success check: the brief lists today's real meetings and at least one genuinely open email.
