Dev builds Orbit with Claude Code in a year: parallel Claude accounts, mid-chat model switching
Available-Ganache-71 · reddit · 2026-11-05
A Shopify developer shares Orbit, an app written almost entirely by Claude Code that consolidates multi-account, multi-CLI AI coding workflows. It runs several Claude accounts side by side (switch chats mid-task when one hits its limit), hosts Claude, Codex and Grok in one place with transferable chats, and gives each project a lead agent that splits work into specialist sub-chats reporting back. The author's own workflow mirrors the product: one lead chat acts as project manager. Tips that worked: having Claude test itself via iOS/Android simulators with screenshot proof, one narrow job per chat, and per-project memory files. Free beta at superorbit.app.
