UNILAG Undergrads Take 5th at Zenith Bank's Zecathon 6.0, Win ₦10 Million With Agent Infra

A four-student team from the University of Lagos was the only student team among finalists at Zenith Bank's Zecathon 6.0, one of Africa's most competitive hackathons, placing 5th against professional teams and startups to win ₦10 million.
Their entry, Avera, is agentic infrastructure streamlining customer dispute resolution and transaction investigation in financial services. The finale was held October 29, 2026, where the team also met Zenith Bank's GMD and board members.
