Dev has Codex log into his tax portal and file months of overdue returns, paying ~30k RMB with penalties

After receiving a tax authority correction notice, a developer had Codex log into his tax back-office and file all overdue returns—including ones from 2025—paying over 30k RMB in back taxes and late fees. Codex also proactively researched legitimate business tax benefits he could claim.
A commenter adds that much tax guidance in China is not publicly documented: you have to ask, then map your business to regulations yourself—"non-standard data plus how you explain your business"—and laments the lack of tax literacy education.
