Local demo of Ming-3.0-audio-flash: transcription, sounds and vocal emotion
truecakesnake · reddit · 2026-11-05
The author runs AntLing's open-source Ming-3.0-audio-flash locally and tests it on three task types:
- Client calls: two speakerphone excerpts, with instructions and quantities returned rated as perfect
- Sounds and music: picks rain and a low musical drone out of a mixed scene
- Delivery: describes a tense exchange as "a slow, deliberate cadence and a tone of grave authority" for one speaker and "cold defiance and urgency" for the other
The model transcribes speech, identifies sound effects and music, and describes tone and emotion in voices. Suggested prompt: "Who sounds tense here, and which sounds tell you that?"
