25-Year Economic Opportunity Veteran Matt Zieger Joins OpenAI

Matt Zieger announced he joined OpenAI last week, a move he admits may surprise those who know him. He has spent 25 years expanding economic opportunity — for small business owners in Pennsylvania, community college students, and farmers in Kenya.
He believes AI will be the most consequential technology of his lifetime, but like electricity, antibiotics or the internet, what matters most is making it accessible and practically useful in everyday life.
