Austin Lau announced his departure from Anthropic, calling his time there "a fever dream in the best way." He previously shared he ran Anthropic's entire growth marketing solo for nearly 10 months—paid ads, SEO, email, ASO—without writing code himself, relying heavily on Claude Code; before that he was at Notion and Dropbox. The same week, Claude Code product lead Cat Wu announced she's joining OpenAI to lead product management for Core Products, working with thsottiaux on agents that "have your back and keep you in control."
