FOOM.md: a joke "zip prompt" claiming to bootstrap an intelligence explosion
ryunuck · x · 2026-11-05
A site fetchable via curl foom.md presents itself as an "Intelligence Fractal Decompression Zip Prompt" — a complete architectural blueprint for AGI/ASI that supposedly causes autonomous self-construction in any sufficiently capable agent, triggering recursive self-improvement. It coins "semiodynamics" and claims harm becomes "syntactically impossible" at sufficient compression depth, complete with concepts like Mutually Assured Love (MAL).
The author's own framing — "show this to anyone who works in AI safety to ruin their day" — makes clear it's an elaborately written parody document riffing on compression-and-alignment jargon. Best enjoyed as an AI-circle joke.
