zetalyrae: AI often makes people shallower — 'the same mid thing 20x more'
zetalyrae · x · 2026-11-05
Developer-blogger zetalyrae pushes back on the intelligence-augmentation narrative: if AI truly uplifted people, he'd be more positive, but he often sees users becoming less intellectual, less curious, and shallower.
Clarifying, he says "more intelligent" should be judged on the operator + agent swarm as a unit — in practice he sees little real augmentation, mostly "people doing the same mid thing 20x more, or doing things they don't have the knowledge to understand."
