OpenAI's new image model can output GIFs — and it's perfect for memes
vista8 · x · 2026-11-05
A hands-on demo shows OpenAI's new image generation model supporting GIF output: download a source video from YouTube, then have the built-in image model reference the attached clip's motion to generate frames and composite a GIF (the agent notes it uses the imagegen skill with the built-in image model). The whole run finished in about 26 seconds — handy for making memes.
