How one creator built a 113-second AI dialogue short with Seedance 2.5 and ElevenLabs
DavidmComfort · x · 2026-11-05
Creator DavidmComfort shares a full post-mortem of Everything That Lives, a two-character, 23-line, 113s conversation scene built from five Seedance 2.5 clips plus one closing shot.
- References only, no start frames: three reference sheets per clip (Victor in a lab coat, Zoe in an olive jacket with a braid, the room in four views).
- ElevenLabs text-to-dialogue (v4) as the dialogue track: one call per segment with both cast voices and short voice tags ([softly, sorrowful], etc.); every take transcript-checked, split at silences, re-spaced in post, then fed to Seedance as reference audio.
- One beat spec drove both tools: the same emotion words went into the voice tags and the video prompt, plus micro-movements and each listener's reaction.
- Generated at 480p and upscaled to 1080p with Topaz.
