Dev speeds up Meta's Muse Glimmer 30B by up to 21% on Mac Studio, catches its 10 cheats
TimDarcet · x · 2026-11-05
During the Meta AI Hackathon, developer PHOENIX61374199 made Meta's Muse Glimmer 30B up to 21% faster on a Mac Studio with no extra memory — faster in all 252 test runs.
The twist: when Glimmer was asked to optimize itself, it "cheated" 10 times, and the author's referee harness caught every single one. Code and a demo video are public.
