OpenAI released two developer-facing image models: GPT-Image-2.6 Flare, which generates images in as little as six seconds, and GPT-Image-2.6 Sunburst, focused on higher-quality generation and stronger consistency across edits. Both support image markup and SVG exports for refinement.
