With Claude's help, the author moved their Tidbyt smart display off the company's servers onto their own Home Assistant box, now running the community firmware Tronbyt. Claude also built its first app: a countdown to the next calendar event plus the top Things task. Before building, Claude rendered three layout options with Pixlet (Tidbyt's own renderer) so the author could compare them animated; the chosen big-countdown design turns amber at 15 minutes and red at 5. The author argues AI is making personal software possible for everyone.
