QuixiAI · x · 2026-11-05
A community developer released a Linux port of QuixiDesk, the MIT-licensed AI desktop assistant by QuixiAI. The fork implements the platform layer upstream leaves as no-ops on Linux — screen capture, clipboard, input injection and pickers — via a 100+ patch series.
- Packaged for Arch and as a signed Flatpak, targeting Wayland/KDE desktops
- Adds hermes tools, daemon manipulation and CSS customization on top
- Screenshots show QuixiDesk is a local-first AI assistant with instance management, projects, artifacts, daemons and skills, keeping user memory folders local with no account binding
