Ilya: with personal AI agents, humans will no longer be participants
danfaggella · x · 2026-11-05
In a 1.5-hour interview, Ilya Sutskever described a future he dislikes: everyone gets an AI that earns money and advocates for them, 'but the person is no longer a participant.' His only way out — humans becoming part AI via Neuralink++ — which he admits he doesn't like either, noting almost nobody can feel what's coming until it's here. danfaggella adds that anyone who's run the AGI idea maze knows human agency eventually can't participate, and symbiosis/BCI is our only chance at causal purchase on what carries life forward beyond man.
