Two photos to a duet video: audio-only reference bypasses Seedance's face filter

The author recreated the viral "58th Floor" duet-video style from just two still photos using Seedance 2.0 Fast (720p, 15s), and shared what actually worked:
- Video reference = instant rejection. Feeding the original performance video triggered the safety filter on real faces; using only the audio clip as reference passed, with lip-sync still holding up well.
- Prompt the handover explicitly: "A raps at the mic until 6s, steps aside, B steps up" — without timings both people just nodded along.
- Photos matter more than prompts: front-facing, waist-up, one person per photo; group shots and sunglasses confuse it.
- The subjects are AI-generated fictional people, not real.
They wrapped the flow into a small site (58thfloor.cc) and offer to share the full prompt.
