Box pitches itself as the secure content layer for AI as Nvidia and Intel CEOs share its stage

At BoxWorks, Nvidia's Jensen Huang and Intel's Lip-Bu Tan share a stage with Box, which started as a way to send files too big for email and now argues it should be the secure content layer feeding AI across Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. Box bets on neutrality — partnering with Microsoft and Google despite competing storage products — so buyers get one governed content store that can feed whichever AI vendor they pick next year. The open question the author wants answered: when a vendor's agent reads a file in Box, who enforces permissions, keeps the audit trail, and pays for processing — that decides accountability when things go wrong.
